It’s Homecoming Week! 🎉 What do you love most about being part of the Lakeside community? How do you show off your school spirit? What is your favorite Homecoming tradition or event?

 Writing Prompt: One thing I love about the lakeside community is that it is very diverse. Although it is diverse, we can touch each and every part of it. I am the type of person who loves seeing everyone happy and smiling. I show off my school spirit by participating in the spirit weeks. We have them at least 2-3 times a year, and I enjoy them so much. It is also my favorite tradition at Lakeside High School.

 Writing Prompt: A time when I felt completely lost was when my grandmother passed away. In my culture, we value our grandmothers. She passed away during COVID due to heart failure. The reason I felt completely lost was that my mother was never home due to her work, as she was both the woman and the man of the house. Although my siblings were there, my grandma was my mother too. It felt like my whole heart was ripped from my chest. I did not eat for a few days; I did not want to leave myself room. I fell into depression. All I can do is stare and zone out.
