Describe a time when someone’s words had a lasting impact on you.

Writing prompt: Growing up, I was a very introverted kid. I would get bullied a lot by my peers due to that quitness. They would call me things like weirdo and freak. It started very young, when I first entered my schooling, kindergarten. It lasted all the way up till 8th grade (after the pandemic). IT was where I found myself and knew that those words were not true. Growing up, those words got vulgar and vulgure and more upsetting. Now I have overcome them. It was difficult to because part of that is accepting who I was and proving everyone wrong.

Summary: Today in class, we presented our projects.

Reflection: Seeing everyone's project made me understand more about each character in the book Fences. Not only in the sense of why they are how they are, but more into how society also shaped them into who they are.
