In "The Lamb" and "The Tyger", both poems suggest that beauty and danger can come from the same source. Describe a time when something or someone you admired also scared or challenged you. How did that experience change the way you see the world or the idea of “goodness”?
Writing prompt; I feel like I experienced beauty and danger when it comes to my friends. They have been the most biggest life lessons I’ve ever had. To be honest, most of the experiences were negative, but I take those things and move forward. Whether it’s because they weren’t being realistic, or treated me fairly or valued my own opinion, It took me a long time to realize it. I had one specific friend where I just let myself get stepped on each time. It was when I was able to realize what manipulation was. And it’s hard for me to continue sometimes and make new friends because I feel a sort of paranoia. I don’t want to automatically assume someone’s manipulating me or anything else just because of how long I Had to deal With my friend. When I was able to realize she didn’t wanna be my Friend, but just wanted somebody to say things she wanted to hear and do things she wanted to do. It took a toll on me because I surrounded my whole life around her and now that it’s over, I don’t know who I am. It felt like I was turning into her like if she was shaping me. Currently, I am still recovering from it because it took a toll on me mentally. Do I regret it no, not necessarily. However, I am glad I’m out of it now.
Summary: Today we were working on our one pager
