Write about something that you believed as a child.

 Writing Prompt: one thing I believed as a child was that my hair grows from the tips than the scalp. No one in my family ever bothered to tell me or correct me. Although it would seem very cool if it did, it made sense to me when my 6th grade teacher told me my hair grows from the scalp instead of the tips. It was one interesting and u forgettable conversation.


Summary: Today in class, we continued reading Fence, Act 1, Scene 3. Then we looked at poem and analyzed it, 


Reflection: Today I learned more about Cory’s character.

 Writing Prompt: A time when I felt completely lost was when my grandmother passed away. In my culture, we value our grandmothers. She passed away during COVID due to heart failure. The reason I felt completely lost was that my mother was never home due to her work, as she was both the woman and the man of the house. Although my siblings were there, my grandma was my mother too. It felt like my whole heart was ripped from my chest. I did not eat for a few days; I did not want to leave myself room. I fell into depression. All I can do is stare and zone out. It was like that for about 2-3 months. I've never witnessed or been through a loss in my family, so it took a big toll on me. Till this day, I still feel like a piece of me left and died within me, but I did find peace in the darkness.
