At the end of Letter 21, Celie and Sofia share a rare moment of laughter that softens the tension between them. Write about a time when you and a sibling or family member shared an unexpected moment of joy after things had been tense or confusing. Explain how that moment helped bring you closer.

Writing prompt: I remember a time when my brother and I got lost in our new neighborhood. We decided to take a 30-minute walk to the park. By the end of the day, both of our cellphones died, so we did not remember the way back home. Since it was dark outside, I am very much afraid of the dark. Since my brother sees that I am anxious, he starts to as well. It took us 40 minutes to arrive home, but once we did, we were laughing so much. It was funny in the sense that we had gotten lost and experienced a situation like that too.

Summary Toddsy in class, we were finishing our projects.

Reflection: It is important to value the people you have with you currently.
