How have the holidays changed as you have grown older? Compare your experiences of the holidays during childhood with how you experience them now, focusing on shifts in perspective, responsibilities, or emotional meaning.

Writing prompt; whenever it comes to holidays for the majority, it is always the same every year. I can say that the most important thing when it comes to holidays is that you’re with family one thing I would never understand though is that if it is becoming a routine, why doesn’t it feel the same emotionally wise for the most part I  am always happy however it gets boring. What also impact it to change throughout the years is when my grandma passed away. Not only that but things that had happened throughout the whole year, we always tend to reflect on it when it comes to holidays or any type of celebration. However, it did change my perspective. I say this because I don’t wanna lie on how I feel. I don’t wanna change how I feel because it is a holiday where you’re supposed to be happy and joyful. I like I am planning to change that this year. I’m not saying I’m feeling angry or sad or not happy I just wanna be myself for once.

Summary: Today, we started to watch "The Color Purple" and answered questions.

Reflection; today I learned what it’s like to be yourself and how to know that you’re being yourself.
