In 2–3 well-developed sentences, reflect on how you spent your Holiday Break. Then, identify four personal you would like to achieve this year and briefly explain why each goal is important to you

Writing prompt: My holiday break wasn't too lucky; I was sadly sick throughout the two weeks. On the 3rd day, I had to be hospitalized due to how sick I was. However, it was nice resting and enjoying the warmth of my home.

Summary: Today in class, we reviewed the class expectations and had an assignment on Writtable, where we were asked to write four SMART goals for 2026.

Reflection: Today i learned how to write a proper SMART goal.

The first goal I want to achieve this year is to pass all of my classes with a 90% grade. This goal is important to be because I was very proud of myself for having an 85% grade for the first semester. I know I can exceed that percentage by going up to having 90% for all classes. This will also help me manage my time and know that nothing is impossible. To accomplish this goal, I will study 2 times a week for 4 hours for any upcoming tests or anything I do not understand. I will also take one hour each day to complete any homework for any of my classes. By May 12th, a week before graduation, I plan to have 90% or higher in all of my classes.

The second goal I want to achieve this year is to read more books of any genre. This goal is important to me because I want to read a book and be able to break it down to understand what I know it is, what it is talking about. I want to say, "Hey I read that book too." To accomplish this goal, I will go to Barnes & Noble every weekend and choose a book to read. I will read 2 chapters every weekend. I will also take notes for each chapter and write a reflection. Starting in April and by December, I plan to have read 6 books.

The third goal I want to achieve this year is to take a trip to Mexico. This goal is important to me because I've been meaning to go visit my grandma at her grave, get to know family, and just explore the country. To accomplish this goal, any money I gain from my family member or when I get a job, I will put 50 dollars to the side to save up. Eventually, the amount will start to increase once I get employed. By July 2026, I plan to have booked a ticket to take a trip to Mexico and enjoy it.

The final goal I want to achieve this year is to get closer to God. This goal is important to me because I've come to a decision that this is something I need to do. I serve at my church, and there are many things that I still need to learn. To achieve this goal, I will take 1-2 hours of my day to read any book from the Bible. I will also read a devotional everyday on the Bible App. By December 2026, I plan to have grown with God and be able to preach about his word.
