What is the most challenging part of working in a group? Discuss a time when a group assignment did not go as well as you planned and how you learned from that experience.

 Writing prompt: The most challenging part working in a group is coming to a decision. I don;t think it's only about everyone having different opinions, however there always has to be a person who is guiding the group to decide together. I tend to say my option however stay quite because sometimes I do feel overpowered. A while ago in a different class I was put into a group. We all choose our own roles for fairness and we continues to work. I monitored their progress however it is not completed. I always checked up on them and they told me they got it. However the day we need to present. it was blank so I decided to do it myself. I don't want to blame the person because I believe if one of us fail we ll do, as a team. However, I know deep down I get upset. 

Summary: Today in class, we began to work on our interactive oral with our groups. 

Reflection: Today I learned what an interactive oral is.

 Writing Prompt: one time I was judged unfairly was being left out from a group of white girl. I have nothing against them but based of their facial expressions and actions towards me was different. We had to get into groups at random and learn something from each and every one of them. I joined this one group and since a few of them already knew each other they were open to other but not me. Writing prompt:  Dear God,  Suddenly, my heart broke into pieces. Mr_____has all of nettie's letter she has written to me. Potentially, I did feel sympathy for the man. He has broken my heart. All this time, all these years, I could have heard back from my sister. To not feel alone, to not feel outnumbered, to not feel pain, anger, and most of all, love. I could have been out of this place with Nettie's help. I could have fought Mr.____ a long time ago. However.....I would have never met Shug Avery. I don't know how to feel, God, excited or angry. Is this a sin? Summary: Today in class, we continued to read independently  Reflection: Today, I learned that it is okay to feel emotions. Even tho you may not know what to do, feeling is an action too.

After reading the first five letters of The Color Purple, reflect on your thoughts and emotions as you experienced Celie’s early voice and struggles

 Writing prompt: This book is definitely an interesting book I have ever read. I did not expect it to be such a strong and powerful message. I can feel Celie’s struggle in what to do in her situation. Experiencing rape at such a young age, she has a clear understand of what it is. Later her mother passes away, although she was not the best mother, she is left with her father that raped her and her sister. I honestly think this book already has me hooked and I can’t wait what happens next.  Summary today in class we took notes and began reading the story the color purple.  Reflection: I learned that letter tell a story too.
