Clothing is often tied to identity and culture. Describe an outfit or style you like that may not fit what others expect from you. How have people responded, and what does this reveal about stereotypes in society?
Writing prompt; My style has changed form time to go. Recently I jsut wear what I think it is comfortable. However, there was a time I used to dress like a tom boy. What I liked about it was that I felt confortable and like me. As I continued my life dressing this way, a lot of people form my middle school had something to say about it. They would call me a boy or start changing my name. Sure I looked like it but dressing this way was not because I wanted to become a boy. I was bullied because I couldn’t feel comfortable. They would tell me I should be more lady like and dress as how I am supposed to. So I did. Society only has one perspective of how a person should be based off of gender, race, and etc. however I think some things should be neutral. Girls can like blue and boys can like pink if they want to.
Summary; Today we watched a short film called stereo.
Reflection; Today I learned how clothing plays a big part in your identity.
